What a wonderful life. It’s so true but something we take for granted. Some days are hard. The past week here has been difficult with various family concerns, two renovations, helping with a move and the list goes on. It’s been a mad rush from one thing to the other but today I managed to stop for a little while. I took the time to a) count my blessings, b) take some deep breaths & c) create a little something just for fun. I always find if I can just find time to create, it recharges my batteries.
I’ve had this stencil in my stash for awhile now and hadn’t had a chance to use it. Creating with stencils the other day has me hooked on them again. You’ll be seeing lots of them. I even placed another order because I’m having so much fun. Yesterday I used a stencil with one of my favorite Distress Ink combos (check it here) and today I’m using my other fave… Worn Lipstick & Spiced Marmalade. It’s perfect for summer and looks oh so yummy with the colors blended together. I’m thinking it looks just like rainbow sherbet. Sweet!
Have you noticed I just can’t get enough of the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set? The sentiments and the script font makes me want to leave it on my desk and use it on every project!
- Use a sponge or foam applicator to sponge on the ink.
- Take down your paper and stencil so it doesn’t shift during ink application
- To get a subtle variegated effect, start at one end of the stencil with one color and blend towards the middle. Keep the ink application lighter as you go along. Start inking at the other with the coordinating color and again, work towards the middle.
