This card features the new Die-namics LLD Hip Clips die set. I’ve always adored clips as embellishments and with this set you can make as many as you want to in any color you wish! These clips make great accents and this set also has lots of confetti-sized elements to add a fun and festive look. I created a vellum pocket to clip the clip to. It has a sweet scalloped cardstock border to make it sturdier and add a punch of color. The vellum is stitched to the card front on both sides and the bottom. This makes a great place to stamp a sentiment and to throw in a tag and some of those cardstock confetti pieces.
One of the things I had fun with on this card is making my own patterned paper with stamps and stencils. All the prints on this card were made like this with some simple supplies and ink. The red star background is created by stamping Red Hot dye ink onto Smooth White Cardstock with the BG Star Celebration Background. The blue lace background is created by stamping Sno Cone dye ink onto Smooth White cardstock with the BG Lace Background stamp. Finally, the pretty little tag was created by sponging Pink Lemonade Dye Ink, using the brand new Split Diagonal Stencil and Smooth White Cardstock.
