So let’s talk fringe. Remember painstakingly cutting one by hand? I do and it took so long that I only did it once! Fringe is a fun design element and it’s a great way to add texture to a design. It’s also a pretty cool and inexpensive way to add some extra flair and wow to a design.
I’m super excited about the new Fringe Die-namics from MFT Stamps. It’s just one of the many fabulous releases this August that you won’t want to miss. To create a great fringe, just die cut strips of fringe from various colors. Make sure you add lots of layers for a full look. I like to die cut two of each color of fringe and layer them. It just looks a little less busy and that changing the color each and every strip of fringe.
Once again you can see the new Encouraging Words stamp set popping up. Love that bold script! It’s pretty, a great script font each of the sentiments is unique and wonderful. It’s not a new release but I love the Die-namics Rolled Rose and I’ve die cut it here from Kraft cardstock to make a beautiful accent. The Stitched Scallop Edges Die-namics set is great for borders and makes a pretty transition here from the fringe to the main sentiment panel. I’ve stitched it with a zig zag stitch on my sewing machine for a little added tone on tone texture.
