Coffee anyone? I’m excited to be part of a very fun blog hop today. I’ve been waiting for another one of these to come around again as I’ve missed out on the last couple. Not quite sure what happened but apparently I was busy drinkinig coffee somewhere and not paying attention!
Created by Amy Tsuruta, the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is wonderful way to share a love for creativity, friendship and coffee. Of course I had to make time to join in and have some creative fun.
Even more exciting for this fall coffee lovers hop is there are a TON of giveaways this time to celebrate the “pumpkin spice season” with you. Make sure you take the time to pop by each of the blogs as you never know what you’ll find in inspiration and surprises! You can also play along yourself and create a coffee themed project of your own!
Anyone is welcome to link up on Friday, September 25th at 6 am pacific through Friday, October 2nd @ 11:59 pm pacific. There are no limits to the number of entries, the more the merrier. Please remember to keep the projects with a FALL theme. Anyone is eligible for a Super Sponsor prize if they link up a newly created FALL Themed Coffee, Tea &/or Cocoa project, no back-linking please. Random.org is used to draw for winners.
The entire Inlinkz list of participants can be found on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog here.
I love creating digital cutting files and find that I am often so busy that I don’t get as much time to do this as I’d like. This coffee cup card is created with a digital cutting file I created just for this blog hop occasion. I’m super excited to share this FREE digital cutting file today as a sweet giveaway to you! Simply download them below. All I ask is that they be used for personal use only. You are welcome to share the blog link to these files but not distribute or share the files themselves. It’s always lovely to see these files on Pinterest so feel free to Pin away. If you do create with these free files, I’d love to see what you create so feel free to drop me a line!
My file was cut on the Silhouette Cameo but you can use any digital cutting machine. The file was designed to fit a card front and is a quarter inch smaller in each dimension so that you can layer it easily. If you want you can also change the size of this cut file in the software that comes with your machine. One thing I love about this template file is that you can use it as a card front panel but you also have all these darling little coffee cups left over as well for other projects. Perhaps it would make fun confetti to place inside the card!
When designing this file I thought it would be fun to put all kinds of patterned paper layers behind the layer. The happy circumstance was that quite by accident a 1″ x 1.25″ scrap fits perfectly behind each opening. This file can be used for any season or occasion but I’ve made this design in a Fall theme by using some gorgeous warm autumn colors behind each opening. The papers I used were from the Basic Grey Spice Market 6×6 paper pad. Some autumn flair is also added by including textural elements such as cork hearts and jute twine and some sweet brown leaf pins from Maya Road. As for the sentiment, what better than “rise and shine” for a caffeine laden theme?! This sweet sticker is from Cosmo Cricket.
What I really love about this digital die cutting file is the many different ways you can use it and how well it will work for almost every style. Have fun creating with it!
