I love creating little bouquets on cards. Sometimes it’s a bouquet of embellishments and others like this card, it’s a bouquet of flowers. Stamped flowers are super sweet as creating something yourself, most definitely comes from the heart. These paper flowers also don’t fade away and are sure to bring a smile to someone who is needing a little tender loving care.
I adore the MFT Stamps floral stamp sets. I probably couldn’t choose a favorite but I’ve been enjoying the Modern Blooms stamp set and Die-namics set recently. By just changing up the colors and the flowers you stamp from the set, there’s a ton of different floral looks you can get.
The card design for this project was actually inspired by last week’s MFT Sketch Challenge. I adore sketch challenges (actually almost ALL challenges) as they are a great jumping off point for getting started. The sketch used was MFT Sketch 250 . Yes, the challenge is closed for entries but that’s OK. It’s still a fab sketch so check it out, print it out and keep it for future use!
- Notice I didn’t stick 100% to the original sketch. That’s OK. Do what works!
- Adhere some of the flowers and layers with foam strips for additional dimension.
- Mix up patterned paper and cardstock and stamping. It’s OK to mix it up!
- Draw your eye through the design with a little bling. In this case, sequins.
