Busy, busy, busy! It’s the most wonderful time of the year but I think they should probably call it the busiest time of the year as well! There’s so much to do with holiday shopping and crafting and baking and parties…oh my! I love it all but now and then life throws you a curve and you need a last minute card for something you hadn’t anticipated.
Keeping it simple is a great idea and the MFT Stamps Die-namics Blueprints are a perfect way to throw together a quick card. Blueprints are sets of dies that I use in almost every project. I like to mix and match them, but for speed, you just can’t beat using one of the card layouts that are pre-designed for you! Today the MFT Stamps DT is sharing some cards they’ve put together using the Die-namics Blueprints and the Blueprints Sketches.
Today I’ve created two quick cards featuring Die-namics Blueprints 12. My first card is all about color. It’s a fun bright and bold mix of stamping, patterned paper and cardstock die cuts. Because this challenge is all about using the Blueprints Sketches and making it easy-peasy, I used the sketch exactly as show. You can find all the Blueprints Sketches here. There are four (or more) for every Blue-prints set.
To create this card I did a little stamping on the main circle panel. It’s stamped with the Romantic Script Background and then the sentiment is stamped on top. The Miss You stamp is from the beautiful Written in Watercolor stamp set. The two different script fonts compliment each other but don’t compete because of the large difference in scale. All the supplies for this card are listed towards the bottom of the post.
Next up I decided to try out one of the other Blueprints 12 sketches in a monochromatic way. A great sketch can stand on its own without a lot of other things going on. I really liked this unique sketch and it’s very different from the layouts I usually create with. To add in a focal point, I once again used the large stitched circle layer. This time is doesn’t hold the sentiment but rather some fun stenciling using the Concentric Circle Grid Stencil. I absolutely adore the beautiful sentiment that are part of the Delicate Pretty Poppies Stamp Set. I’ve stamped one of them on the bottom panel of this card design.
To finish off both of the cards, I added in some pretty clear sequins. These are my Go-To sequins as they go with absolutely everything!
Stop by the MFT Stamps Blog for links to MORE inspiration using the Die-namics Blueprints! These have to be some of my favorite dies ever and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the DT has created with them. Something tells me that I’ll be adding a few more sets into my MFT Stamps shopping cart!
Have a creative day!
