Ever wish you could make beautiful sketched cards? Check out this new stamp set from MFT Stamps! It’s Day Three of the January Release Countdown and today I’m sharing a peek at the new and fab Sketched Blooms stamp set. Sketching is a fun and unique look and there’s so many ways you can use this set. Color it with markers, stamp it or watercolor it and you can get a unique look every time.
I decided it would be fun to arrange the lovely sketched flowers into a wreath for this design. Simply draw a circle in pencil, then stamp the flowers around it. Then fill in the leaves. I like to trace a circle die to make it easy and then erase the light pencil lines once stamped. One of the fun things about this stamp set is that the accompanying solid stamps don’t line up perfectly with the sketched line art ones. This gives it a fun artistic off-register print look.
I’ve paired up this floral set with one of the new Wonky Stitched STAX Die-namics, the Square set. The wonky stitching lines are a perfect style match for the sketching look! I’ve also tried out a new-to-me Blueprints Die-namics set, Blueprints 8. I’m slowly collecting them all as I absolutely adore designing with them. I used the large stitched square die on this card. It’s 4.75″ square and makes a perfect layer for a 5″ square card base. So pretty!
