Hope! It’s a beautiful word. Hope keeps us going and gives us something to cling to when times are tough. A beautiful word deserves a beautiful presentation and that’s what this card is all about.
I created this card a little while ago and thought it was perfect for sharing during these wintery months. I am currently battling a very nasty cold I picked up while traveling. I was blessed again this year to get to CHA again and enjoyed helping out and seeing all the beautiful new product coming down the road. Hubby joined me for a few wonderful days as we toured up the California coast. I just wish he hadn’t brought a cold along with him and passed it on to me. I had hoped to jump back into creative mode with two feet but am currently limping along. I hope (there’s that word again) to get back to everything soon. So there you go. I have not dropped off the planet so keep dropping by.
I’m loving the colors to the patterned paper in this card. It’s paired up with some gorgeous dies from Spellbinders. The Curved Square set is so pretty and I’ve accented most of the layers with stitching. My favorite part though is the embossed letters. They are die cut from the Victorian Letters Die Set and heavy card stock. Using heavy card stock really brings out the embossing and detail in these letters. I’m not kidding when I say this is the prettiest alphabet die set I have ever seen! To add a vintage look and to highlight the embossing detail I sponged on a little Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. It’s my go-to ink all the time. I have a hard time making a card without it!
To finish it all off I’ve added in some of my beloved embellishments. Can’t forget those! Some seam binding in white and a Maya Road felt flower, twine and trinket pins make is pretty.
