There’s so many amazing people in my life. I’m grateful for them and often take the time to think about what a blessing that it is. I would hate to take anyone for granted. However, I may not be quite as great at letting these amazing people know just how special they are. So that’s where today’s card comes in. One small step at a time I’m going to sent out more mail to stay in touch and share how I feel. I’m sure you have special people in your life too! Why not take up the challenge and let them know?
Speaking of challenges, today I’m having fun with another MFT Stamps challenge. This time it’s a sketch challenge because with a sketch challenge, what’s not to love? This one is MFTWSC265, just in case you want to create and hashtag it. I will admit, I did take a little creative license with it. I feel that a sketch is to get you creating and trying different ideas. If it’s not working for you, just tweak it a little. After all, it’s the end product that counts.
Today’s card mixes up some simple stamping, die-cutting and layering to make a fun and vibrant card. No crazy techniques, I’m just letting the product shine in its simple beauty. The Fall Florals Stamp Set and Die-namics set are one of my favorite floral pairs. Just because they say “fall” on them doesn’t mean they need to be relegated to the depths of your stamp storage until next autumn! Just change up the color combos and this stunning set can be used all year long! I’ve paired it up with lots of amazing products that you can find in the supply list below.
- layer a sentiment over vellum to give it strength without covering up the design below
- add dots of Liquid Pearls to make fun and dimension flower centers
- die cut cover up background dies from white to get a tone on tone background that won’t overwhelm the design
- work with the sketch but don’t let it dictate your final design if it’s not working
