Today I’m going around in circles! It’s time for another Creative Construction with Blueprints feature and I’m having fun creating with circles. Circles are a beautiful classic design feature and they are fabulous for moving your eye through the design.
Blueprints Die-namics are a fabulous basis for creating any card design. I’m totally addicted and that’s why I absolutely love this challenge. Today I’m focusing on the Blueprints Die-namics 12 set. It’s one of the many fabulous Blueprints sets that includes circular elements. I’ve enjoyed using the large circle shape in this set over and over to create a beautiful pieced and stitched look. Circles are great but add stitches…and they are fab!
To create this card I’ve die cut four circles, two from blues and two from pinks, out of card stock. Once I adhered all four circles to the Smooth White card stock panel, I then die cut them with the square die. This trims off all the excess edges of the circles and keeps things nice and precise. Next step was to die cut a circle from the middle of the panel. Line up the circle directly over the mid-point and adhere it there with washi tape. You don’t want it to slip as this needs to be precise. Once the circle is die cut, you’ll have a fun circle with pieced oval/slice shapes around it. I then rotated my inner circle 180° so that the darker blue (Summer Splash) lines up with the lighter blue, Sno Cone. I love how this gives a fun tone on tone look and adds interest to the design!
I’ve also added in some fun glam with the Gold Glitter sentiment die-cut from Stars & Wishes Die-namics set. The sweet flowers and centers are also part of the Blueprints 12 set and to make them extra soft and pretty, they’ve been die cut from felt.
Stop by the MFT Stamps Blog for links to MORE inspiration using the Die-namics Blueprints! These have to be some of my favorite dies ever and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the DT has created with them. Something tells me that I’ll be adding a few more sets into my MFT Stamps shopping cart!
Have a creative day!
