Let’s strike up the band!Today I’m having fun with another new MFT Stamps March release. Drumroll please….
Say hello to the new Strike Up the Band Stamp Set and Stike Up the Band Die-namics set. This set is so adorable and with having a lot of music lovers in this house, I couldn’t wait to get it inky. All my children have loved band and choir and my son David is currently a vocal major and plans to be a high school music teacher. I love to start each day listening to him warm up his voice.
Yesterday I promised you a better look at the new Blueprints 27 Die-namics set so here it is. It’s a beautiful layout that can be turned vertically or horizontally or flipped. I love how the trio of square sections make it a great way to add portions of stamped images to the design.I’ve also popped up these layers on foam tape and slightly skewed them to add movement to the design. These musicians are really rocking out to there music!
Quick Tip: It’s ok to use a smaller layer than the stamp size. This is a fun way to highlight just a portion of the stamp and makes it more interesting.
The sweet little rabbit band images were stamped onto the squares and then colored with Copic Markers. In the photo below you can get a hint of how glittery this is in person. The buttons, hats and instruments are highlighted with glitter using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.
Finally, the sentiment was stamped on the large sentiment banner from the Blueprints 27 set. One layer was good but once I added a second die cut beneath it, it looked even better! And one last thing! How could I almost forget?! Check out that sweet patterned paper! It’s from the new Off the Grid Paper Pack. I love it so much that I have to admit to ordering a lot more than one pack!
Now it’s time to stop by the MFT Stamps Blog and check out more of today’s peeks at the upcoming March launch.
See you again tomorrow!
