It’s time for a little Vintage Beauty! A little more might be a better phrase as I enjoyed designing with it last week. Remember this project?
This time I’m creating a card design. Yes, I do know that this is a mini album kit and yes, I am once again creating a project that is NOT a mini album. See how that goes? Just because a kit says mini album or card kit or whatever, doesn’t mean you have to use it for that. I like to break out of the box once in awhile.
I’m loving all the vintage style papers and goodies in this kit. For this card I’m mixing them up with a simple card layout. When creating with a vintage or shabby chic style I like to ink up the edges of my papers etc. with some ink. You can add it direct to the edges but I really love using a Jumbo Dauber Sponge Applicator for the job. It looks so lovely and subtle.
All the embellishments that I’ve used are part of the kit from the chipboard, to the stickers to the wood token and the paper flowers. It’s all beautiful and I love every piece. Add that to the fact that there is SO much product in the Vintage Beauty Kit that you’ll be crafting with it for a long time to come!
If you’d like to take a better look at the kit, be sure to stop by Maya Road Kits and take a peek!
And just before you go…here’s another bit of fun info for those of you with digital craft cutters. You know, the Silhouette Cameo, the Cricut, etc? There’s some amazing and FREE digital cutting files that you can download and enjoy. They coordinate perfectly with the kit or can be used over and over on their own. Find out all the details here.
- stack chipboard and other embellishments to make a custom focal point detail
- paint wood embellishments with gesso to change the look
