Exciting news for stampers! Say hello to some LOVELY new inks! Taylored Expressions is expanding their product line to include brand new inks. I was so excited to try them out and couldn’t wait to get started. As all inks are definitely not created equal I put them right to the test. Not only are the colors gorgeous, but the inks stamp beautifully giving a crisp impression. They also match up perfectly with Taylored Expressions Card Stock and there’s a great downloadable color chart available here.
I like to see how inks work with one another when stamped multiple images. The beautiful Simply Stamped – Roses stamp set is so gorgeous and the inks layered beautifully. These new Taylored Expressions Inks come in 10 shades of premium dye ink and 2 shades of premium hybrid ink and are made in the USA. I’ve used a lot of these inks on this card. To stamp the large roses I’ve used Strawberry Milkshake, Lollipop and Cherry Pop. The smaller yellow roses are stamped in Lemon Meringue, Strawberry Milkshake and then Lollipop. Layering the Strawberry Milkshake over the Lemon Meringue creates a beautiful soft orange shade.
I’ve used lovely mini ink pads that are a 1″ square size that fit into a Distress Ink Tin. I love how this keeps them perfectly organized. These inks are also available in full size ink pads as well.
To stamp the sentiment I’ve used one of the hybrid inks, Oreo which is a beautiful black. It’s waterproof and perfect for watercoloring and it is compatible with Copic Markers as well!
To finish off the stamped panel, I decided a little embossing would add some beautiful texture. I’ve used the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder and I love how it reminds me of a garden trellis.
