Now THIS…you gotta see!
Gasp! Sigh! Stamping and die-cutting delight, this card pairs up some of my favorites from the June MFT Stamps release.
So here’s my confession…I love interactive cards but find I either a) forget about them or b) find them a bit of a pain to create. So this release is perfect for me. MFT now has the coolest Flop Card Die-namics! Seriously! Cards that used to be tricky with folding, scoring, measuring and cutting are now a breeze.
I’ve used the Flop Card – Rectangle Die-namics for this card. It’s die cut from Sno Cone cardstock in and A5 regular card base. Just open out the base flat, lay the Die-namics halfway between the front with the cut section by the center fold, and run it through your die cutting machine. Be sure to take the stitched rectangle die apart from the rest of of the die as you cut that separately in a coordinating color as a layer. I’ve die-cut it twice for this card. Once in Sour Apple card stock for the front layer panel and then again in Orange Fizz for the inside.
And while we are saying hello to fab new goodies, how about this stamp set?! It’s called Funky Flowers and I love it! Stitching lines…yes! It’s a gorgeous set and I love coloring it. All those stitching areas make it so easy to color and I’ve pulled out my Copic Markers for this one. As you can see in the images, using the flop fold dies allows you to have the image on the front of the card, and THEN, as you open the card, it flips to the inside. So cool! My kids thought so too and this card didn’t last in the house 24 hours. My 21 year old and some of his vocal major friends are part of an opera out of town and are billeted with a lovely family for the next ten days. It’s making it way to them with a hostess gift.
So what else is cool about this card? Well, the new Fun and Frolic Paper Pack is super cool. It was previously released as part of a recent card kit and now is available for everyone. Yay! The colors and prints work together so easily.
