Let’s party! The MFT Stamps 10th Anniversary birthday party is still going strong. July has been one busy and happy month!
Today it’s all about Blueprints Die-namics as we focus on our monthly feature, Creative Construction with Blueprints Die-namics. As we continue with the celebration and birthday theme, the challenge was to use Blueprints Die-namics sets to create birthday tags. This can be Blueprints sets with tags in them or one of the fabulous Tag Builder Blueprints Die-namics sets.
I decided to create with the Tag Builder Blueprints 2 Die-namics as I wanted to show how you can use these tags for a birthday. This set has some fun holiday accents but the tags themselves shouldn’t just be limited to one season of the year. They are fabulous classic tag shapes that can be mixed and matched and then embellished as desired. I’ve created three tags with this set and the base on each has been die-cut from Kraft Card Stock.
One detail that’s rather difficult to see in these images is the vellum layer. Each of the tags has a tag the same size die-cut from vellum and adhered at the top of each tag. I love how the vellum dresses them up. I always find vellum to add that perfect elegant touch that makes a project special. The vellum is stamped on with pretty sentiments from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set. It’s an amazing mix of fonts and birthday wishes and sizes making it perfect for a wide variety of cards and projects.
Quick Tip: Vellum is easy to stamp on with hybrid inks. Stamp, then heat set when a heat gun to prevent smearing.
Birthdays don’t always have to be about balloons and these more feminine grown-up tags celebrate with flowers. I love the Flashy Florals stamp set and Die-namics and keep pulling it out over and over again. I’ve also added in a little extra greenery with Spearmint Card Stock and the Bold Greenery Die-namics set.
