I love sketch challenges and especially the weekly MFT Stamps sketch challenge. I hate to miss a single one but life has been so busy that I’ve missed a few! That’s going to end though as each day I get a little more caught up after a whirlwind of a summer.
This week’s MFT Stamps sketch is #MFTWSC298. You’re going to totally love this sketch design as it’s asymmetrical and has lots going on for you to interpret in so many different ways. I hope you’ll join in the challenge for some creative time! You can find all the details here on the MFT Challenge Blog.
If you go look at the sketch, you’ll notice I actually took a TON of liberties with it. I changed it from assymetrical (which I usually love) to symmetrical. I’m not quite sure why but this design just really wanted to be changed up a little…well a lot. I think perhaps it was the simplicity of the colors and die-cuts I chose. I just love that tiny square frame and it’s die-cut using the Single Stitch Line Square Frames Die-namics which is brand new from MFT. Once again I’m loving purple! I had a scrap of it left out and it fell next to a scrap of Razzleberry Card Stock. Instant love!
While the design is simple…I’ve added interest by using lots of stitched edge dies. They tie it all together and also add subtle texture. The sentiment in block caps also fits the clean and simple look of the design and says it all with “LOVE YOU MORE”. It’s from the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set. I’m on a mission to use each and every one of these fabulous sentiments so stay tuned for lots more designs!
All supplies for this project are listed below for your convenience. I hope you find some time to get sketchy! There’s always a chance to win something fab! Don’t forget, details and inspiration are here on the MFT Challenge Blog.
