Have you ever tried Color Burst?! It’s an amazing watercolor powder product that you are totally going to want to play with. It mixes with water, both for painting as well as some very cool powder techniques.
Today I’m sharing how I’ve mixed it with water to create liquid watercolors and paint onto the designs. Everything I’ve used is from a kit from Maya Road Kits. It’s called Color Your World and it’s absolutely full of Color Burst, watercolor paper, embellishments etc.
My first card features a crayon resist. All I’ve done here is scribble onto some watercolor paper with a white wax crayon. The crayon will resist the pigment and you’ll see the design appear as you add color. It’s a really fun and pretty art look.
My second card features a watercolor wash background using the Color Burst and I’ve die-cut some leaves from an exclusive die set included in the kit. You won’t find it anywhere else! It’s also layered with some exclusive wood tokens and butterflies and a sweet arrow clip that is all part of the kit. Check it out!
You can find the kit (click here) from Maya Road. It’s an incredible value and comes with everything shown above (not the design samples) and instructions to make them all.
I’ve also created a short video sharing how to mix up the Color Burst to use as watercolors. Enjoy!
