I’m always enamored with great snowflake sets, especially dies and this one…Stylish Snowflakes Die-namics, is absolutely stunning. I’m busy dreaming up all the fabulous designs I’m going to create this winter. So stylish. So elegant. And there’s so many techniques I want to do with them.
And since it’s Day 1 of the November MFT Stamps Countdown, there are just hours left until the full release! Yay!
Because this die set is so delicate and beautiful, I wanted to keep this design really simple to show off their beauty. I find the more detailed and lovely the stamp or die, the less you really need to do with it. The KISS approach. Keep it simple
stupid. Let’s try that again. Keep it simple sweetie! Sounds so much better!
To create this design what I’ve done is first die cut the snowflakes from a card front size sheet of white card stock. Then remove the snowflakes and die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die. I’ve used the one from Blueprints 13. Adhere it over some patterned paper (hello! how awesome is the Watercolor Wash Paper Pack?!!), and then adhere the snowflakes back into the spaces. Soooo elegant!
And inside you get a look at another new die set from the November release, Merry Christmas Die-namics. And since I went with a very flat design for the front, the inside mimics it as well. Just because you die cut a sentiment doesn’t mean you have to remove the shape! It’s super subtle but right to the point!
Just like that, it’s the final day of the countdown! Stop by the MFT blog for more inspiration and peeks at what is coming…tonight! Tuesday November 1st at 10 pm EST. I’ll be back with another MFT Stamp’s design so I’ll “see” you then!
