A friendship valentine? Why not?
This sweet card was inspired by a sketch challenge from MFT Stamps, my love for die-cutting and layers and the next upcoming special day, Valentine’s Day. Remember sending out Valentine’s to all your friends? It’s still fun to send out a sweet little card to the special people in your life. In fact, I really love this idea for Valentine’s. Spread a little snail mail love!
Looking for a great sketch challenge? Be sure to check out this week’s MFT Stamps sketch, #MFTWSC317. Today’s sketch is really unique with staggered layers. I’ve changed it up a little to make my personal design balance better. It’s OK to tweak sketches! I hope you’ll join in the challenge for some creative time! You can find all the details here on the MFT Challenge Blog. If you’ve never played along, it’s super fun and easy. I hope you’ll join us!
I’ve used a bunch of colors that I wouldn’t normally put together on this card but I think it’s fun and works for the occasion. Red Hot, Razzleberry and Wild Wisteria card stock colors are die-cut using the same die from the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. One of my favorite sets is the Precious Polaroids and I haven’t used it enough lately. I’ve layered it on top to tie everything together and then added wavy banner from Blueprints 25 Die-namics and some accents. I’ve long been a label maker fan and the Label Maker Love stamp set and Label Tape Die-namics gets me that look in stamps! It’s so fun to mix and match all the fabulous words together.
You can find all the supplies used listed and linked below for your convenience. I hope you find some time to get sketchy! There’s always a chance to win something fab!
Until next time…
