I create…just because. I send cards…just because.
You don’t always need a reason to do something. Sometimes you create and give and share…just for the sheer joy of it!
And if you feel like creating just for fun, why not try out a sketch challenge? I LOVE them!
Like sketches? Be sure to check out this week’s MFT Stamps sketch, #MFTWSC325. Today’s sketch is one that I’m really loving. It’s easy to use and is full of possibilities. I hope you’ll join in the challenge for some creative time! You can find all the details here on the MFT Challenge Blog. If you’ve never played along, it’s super fun and easy. I hope you’ll join us!
Today I’m playing along with this challenge and making the sketch my own. I’ve decided to create a sponged background area in place of a layer for the square main section. I’ve used the Chevron Grid Stencil and I love the movement in design that this stencil produces. Just point the chevrons in which ever way you want to create movement in your creation.
The horizontal strip area on the design has been changed to a die-cut sentiment paired up with a stamped sentiment. The Because You set is BOTH stamp set and Die-namics making it a two for one! If you’ve never taken the time to read the sentiments in this set, I hope you will. It’s such a cool and unique sentiment set. SOOOO much better than just a plain old hello.
Quick Tip: Use a sponge to ink up your stencil in stripes of color. Just start at the top of your stencil with an inked sponge or blending tool and swipe down. Use a different inked sponge for the alternate colored stripes. It’s a fun way to get a two toned look for a fun background!
You can find all the supplies used listed and linked below for your convenience. I hope you find some time to get sketchy! There’s always a chance to win something fab!
Until next time…
