Need some quick and creative ways to create a card design? The Blueprints Die-namics sets from MFT Stamps make it oh so easy! I’m a huge Blueprints Die-namics fan and often mix and match them together to create my own sketch designs. Each month the MFT Stamps DT has a fun challenge featuring these special dies and I’m always up for participating.
Each month the theme changes and this month we are keeping things super simple. It’s the Come as You Are Challenge. What does that mean?!
Well, each Blueprints set comes with 4 pre-designed card sketches so that you don’t even have to think about it. Just follow the lead, and put your card together. They are great resources to have on hand and you can find them all HERE as PDF printables for you to use.
Today’s creation features the recently released Blueprints 32 Die-namics set and I’ve used one of the accompanying sketches…exactly as specified. From tabs, strips, and chevrons, to hearts and a card sized frame….this set has a lot going for it!
The background for this card is a card front of smooth white card stock stamped with the Fall Florals stamp set. I’ve mentioned this on the blog before but this set is so fun and definitely NOT just for fall! It makes a fun pattern of randomly stamped flowers in Cotton Candy, Razzleberry, Limelight, Sour Apple, Orange Fizz and Grapesicle Dye Inks. You may notice the shades are very soft and dreamy looking and that’s because I placed a layer of vellum over the stamped layer to give it a subtle look. The main thank you sentiment is from a new sentiment set called You Give Me Butterflies and I adore it’s beautiful handwritten font!
Quick Tip: Layer vellum over a patterned paper or stamped images to get a soft and dreamy effect!
One thing I did want to highlight the chevrons in the design. Instead of adding them as a layer, I’ve die-cut them right into the card front. This adds a fun peek-a-boo dimension to the card and lets you peek right into the center. I’ve lined the card with a piece of Grapesicle Card Stock and it looks so pretty for spring!
