It’s May Day! May first…it really seems unreal. April just passed by in a blur and I’m absolutely baffled as to where it went!
In honour of all those April showers we just passed through, here’s a big bold and beautiful May flower! It’s a shaker card flower and so beautiful and it has to be one of the easiest shakers I have ever made. Leave it to MFT Stamps to take what can be a tricky technique and do all the hard work for you. Yes please!
I’m ready and excited about the May release. How about you? Any faves picked out yet? Today I’m sharing a look at two fab new sets on this design. One is pretty obvious and wonderful. It’s that stunning shaker, the Shaker Flower Die-namics. I’ve made it into a card but just think how cute it would be as a tag or on a layout too! I’ve die-cut all the lovely layers from a mix of patterned papers and then sanded the edges for a distressed look. Also check out the flower petals. There’s two layers of patterned paper there in coordinating prints. Curling up the top layer gives you extra dimension and a peek at the layer below. The center of the flower is a Circle Shaker Pouch which layers beautifully in the center of this flower.
Did you figure out the other new release yet? It’s tucked down at the bottom right and is going to give my current fave sentiment set a run for it’s money. It’s the new More Essential Sentiments Stamp Set and is full of more amazing sentiments…just like the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set. I think I’m going to have to keep track of which I use the most!
Quick Tip: Use strong liquid adhesive around the circle shaker pouch to hold the shaker together. Also, why not think beyond sequins for shaker designs. Buttons are fun and fab as well!
