I’m always so excited for new beginnings. Spring always feels like the beginning of a fresh new year, even if it doesn’t fall that way on the calendar. Of course, my favorite new beginnings have to be those new little bundles of joy. I’m long past those days but I love getting my hands on those sweet little bundles. What a precious gift and a blank slate of so many possibilities. Yesterday, a sweet couple in our extended family welcomed a brand new baby girl into the world. This card goes with a gift I ran out to buy as in my opinion, there’s no better reason to go shopping! A huge congrats from all of us in the Stainton household goes out to Phil and Melissa and welcome sweet Chloe! We can’t wait to meet you!
It’s also MFT Stamps Product Launch and a great time to kick off a brand new month with some fab new creative goodies. Today for the product launch I’m featuring the brand new Bold Stripes Cover-up Die-namics. I love background dies and I have to tell you that this one is an amazing blank slate because you can use it on absolutely any card design. Stripes never go out of style! I’ve die-cut it from Tickled Pink Card Stock and layered it over some white card stock stamped with Tickled Pink Dye Ink and the Typewriter Text Background Stamp. I love how the horizontal “typing” really goes so well with the horizontal stripes of the Bold Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics.
Quick Tip: Highlight colored images with a white gel pen to help make them pop.
Baby Chloe actually inspired me thinking outside the box with this new Giraffing Me Crazy Stamp Set. The littlest giraffe looks super cute colored in pink and I love using stamp sets for different ideas. With all the buzz on the livefeed of the baby giraffe birth recently, and the fact that Chloe’s dad spent months of two separate missionary trips to Zambia, I’m thinking the giraffe baby card is actually very fitting. It’s colored in with Copic Markers…R20, RV23, T2 and W4 if my memory serves correctly.
One last new stamp set here before I go…it’s the More Essential Sentiments Stamp Set and has an amazing 26 sentiments on it! I’ve used this set on three of my cards for this release and it just may take of the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set as my fave. Who knows! I’ve stamped it here on a vellum layer in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. As it is the product launch, all these stamps and dies are in the shop. Hooray!
