Cancer is something that touches us all. It’s made it’s mark on my family in many different ways but today I’m focusing on Breast Cancer. In case you missed it earlier in the week, I’m sharing yet another card design featuring the new Courage stamp and die set that’s a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. An amazing $25.oo from the purchase of each set is being donated and as of last night…just three days into the fundraiser, Ellen Hutson LLC has been able to donate $15,000.00 to breast cancer research.
My wonderful mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer more than a decade ago and by the end of this year will be a cancer survivor for 10 years. Our family could not be more thankful. This card is for her.
Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer? I look around me, at my friends, my daughter, my family, myself, and wonder who will be next. At my church I can look around and see those who have survived it and treasure the memory of those I know who haven’t. As a crafter I usually just make pretty things that make people happy. And I’m OK with that. But being able to create with this set and share in the fundraising makes it so much more special for me.
Please consider purchasing this set here…. Essentials by Ellen Breast Cancer Research Foundation Courage stamp & die set, or consider pinning this graphic on Pinterest to help spread the word!
And if you’re just here because you’re looking for some crafty inspiration and techniques, that’s OK too! Die-cuts can be used in so many different ways and if you’ve never thought of coloring them (without stamps), it’s really easy to do. The Courage ribbon die-cut is lovely just cut out as it is but why not step it up with just a few shades of Copic Markers?
Today I’m in the CLASSroom with lots of step out photos to walk you through my design process. I hope you’ll join me!
Have a creative day!
