I love sketch challenges and this particular sketch design has me happy with the fab angles this card is designed around. There’s nothing like a diagonal to add interest to a project and I love the movement it always brings to a design.
If you love to create from sketches, be sure to check out this week’s MFT Stamps sketch, #MFTWSC333. Today’s sketch is a fun off-set design that can easily be vertical or rotated into a horizontal design. I’ve kept it fairly close to the original and had fun with a simple design. I hope you’ll join in the challenge for some creative time! You can find all the details here on the MFT Challenge Blog. If you’ve never played along, it’s super fun and easy. I hope you’ll join us!
Today’s design has a mix of card stock and stamping, fun vibrant color and a little vellum with heat embossing. The great background patterns are stamped using the Lined Up Dots Background and the Lots of Dots Background in Razzleberry Dye Ink and Orange Fizz Dye Ink. I’ve separated them with a cool pop of Wild Wisteria Card Stock and then added in part of the sentiment on the diagonal using the Hello Beautiful Die-namics.
The beautiful flowers are stamped and die-cut using the Tropical Flowers stamp set and the Tropical Flowers Die-namics. I’ve layered one of the flowers for a double petal look and left the other one a single layer as I love the look of the orange pattern peeking through the vellum! The stamped portion of the sentiment fills in the bottom right corner of the design and features the Kind Words stamp set. I love this set and it makes me think of a dear friend. She recently gave me the darling little white cupcake display as a photo prop and I’m loving it! So sweet!
You can find all the supplies used listed and linked below for your convenience. I hope you find some time to get sketchy! There’s always a chance to win something fab!
Until next time…
