It’s blog hop time and I couldn’t be more excited! Yesterday on Instagram I was able to announce that I’m now part of the new Pinkfresh Studio Card Design Team and I’m so honoured to be part of this fabulous line-up. The latest Pinkfresh DT has two parts to it, the scrapbooking team and the card team and it’s a thrill to be creating along with so many talented paper crafters. Today’s blog will introduce you to all of the members and is full of Pinkfresh inspiration.
There’s a few new recent releases from Pinkfresh and as you hop along, you’ll notice that the scrapbooking team is focusing on the new Escape the Ordinary line. The card team is designing with the recently released stamps and dies which brings me to my card designs.
I’m using the Say it With Florals Stamp Set and the Say it With Florals Die that coordinates with this stamp set. I wanted to show you how you can use this stamp set in two ways…the first with the die and the second all on it’s own to create a floral wreath.
First of all the wreath…
This stamp set is absolutely gorgeous on it’s own. To create the wreath I traced a circle in light pencil on a white card stock panel. The circle provides a guide for stamping around. I started off with stamping the flowers in the three step stamping technique and then filled in the rest of the wreath with foliage. Some of the sentiments in this set are in two parts. For instance, in this design you can just use the “thank you” or add in a little more detail by also stamping “for all the thoughtful things you do.” I’ve stamped the last part of the sentiment onto vellum and wrapped the strip around the focal layer which helps the fine text stand out.
Next up is my card that pairs up the Say it with Florals stamp set with the coordinating die. I absolutely LOVE this concept of a die that has places for the stamps to fit in. There’s a sample on the back of the packaging if you have trouble visualizing what should go there. You can also step it up a notch by adding in additional small floral stamps and leaves around the design.
Quick Tip: Lightly bend up the flower and leaf die-cut areas to add depth and visual interest.
Here’s the entire blog line-up…
