I’ve got sunshine! A fun bit of sunshine in the form of new stamps and dies from Ellen Hutson LLC! Today some of the Ellen Hutson and Honey Bee Stamps designers are joining up for a fun blog hop with a fab prize! Ellen Hutson LLC and Honey Bee Stamps have paired up to bring you a great new product colloboration. Here’s a little more from Ellen about the United We Flourish concept…
Last November we began celebrating our 10th anniversary with the theme United We Flourish. And what does United We Flourish mean? It means that our company would not be here without the amazing companies we work with, the designers who create stunning projects showcasing the wonderful products being created AND you, our fabulous customers! YOU are such a vital part of our creative community – you inspire & encourage us! Your response to United We Flourish was overwhelming and heart-warming. We heard repeatedly from you that you appreciate how our little company works together with the other manufacturers we carry to bring you their products and education showing how to use those products. To thank you for your constant support and encouragement, we have partnered with some of our friends to offer exclusive limited edition stamp & die sets!!! These sets will be available for a limited time (most likely 3-6 months) after each release, depending on how quickly you snap them up. The theme of these stamps sets are uplifting and fun.
We are thrilled to present the third one to you…Sending Sunshine by Honey Bee Stamps exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.
To create my sun-shiney card, I decided to pull out some of my new Distress Oxide ink pads and play around with a warm and sunny background. To create it I smeared the ink across some Solar White Card Stock directly from the ink pad, Picked Raspberry across the top and then Wild Honey across the bottom two thirds of the design. I then took a large sponge dabber and added in some circles of Picked Raspberry Ink to add a bokeh effect. Then the fun part! Just spritz water across the surface and allow the ink to form water spots. I love the warm chalky look of the Distress Oxide Inks when mixed with water.
Once dry, I adhered the panel over top of the card front that had been covered with some of the brand new Essentials by Ellen Modern Graphics Paper Pack by Julie Ebersole.
The new Sending Sunshine Stamp & Die Set is so much fun. I love the mix and match sentiments that can be a mix of stamps and dies as well. Mixing the media always adds a lot of design interest to any project. To create my sentiment I’ve used two word dies on the top and the bottom and then a stamp over a die for the sun in the middle. And to get that duo toned “sun” word, I simply inked it up with the two colors of Distress Oxide ink before stamping.
I’ve also added in one other Essentials by Ellen stamp set in this design. I’ve been dying to play with the new Rustic Botanicals Stamp Set by Julie Ebersole. I love the funky style of these florals and they add a sweet touch to the design.
You can find all the supplies used to create this card at the end of the post for your convenience.
