Gratitude is one of those things in our life that should not be neglected. It’s so often we get used to all the blessings we have and take them for granted. I can be very guilty of this and need to constantly remind myself of all I have to be grateful. I have a lot of favourite Bible verses and the one from 1 Thessalonians, In all things give thanks, is one I remind myself of often.
One of the things I’m so very grateful for in my life is friends and family who are such a big part of my life. I treasure each and every one. This card could go out to any one of you!
It’s Day 4 of the MFT Stamps September Countdown and today I’m sharing a design I created with the new Grateful Stamp Set. I adore this mini set and it’s simply one lovely large word and a gorgeous leaf. This is one of those classic stamp sets that is simple but there is so much you can do with it. I love these the best! I’ve paired up the grateful sentiment with a stamped sentiment from Grateful for You stamp and die set. It’s an obvious pairing and of course, every sentiment in that set works with this new stamp set. This sentiment is stamped on Pink Lemonade Card Stock with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink on a die-cut from the Stitched Fishtale Sentiment Strips Die-namics set.
I pulled out my Misti to stamp the sentiment. It was a two-step process which started off with inking the stamp with two shakes of die inks…Cotton Candy & Persimmon. This color duo is a mix of cool pink + warm red and I’m loving how the two play off each other. Once the sentiment was stamped, I inked it up again but this time with Versamark. Once stamped with Versamark I could add clear Ranger embossing powder and then heat emboss the sentiment to really make it pop against the stamped leaf background.
Speaking of colour, let’s talk about that lovely Fuse Green Card Stock and Fuse Green Dye Ink. I totally have a new crush! Don’t overlook the beauty of this (dare I say odd?) colour! I just want to use it over and over. Stay tuned because I’m not putting it away any time soon!
Quick Tip: Try out a color that’s out of the ordinary for you! It’s a great way to experiment with new and fab color combos!
I have three more dies to tell you about. The first is those lovely Layered Leaves that I’m always going on about. This time they are die-cut from a Cherry Wood Adhesive Backed Sheet and don’t they look lovely for fall? The second is a look at two new die sets you are going to need. They are simple and basic and fabulous for perfect layers every single time. The new A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 and A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 work together perfectly for a regular sized card front and make the loveliest matted layers.
