With the cooler nights mixed with warm days, I know that Fall is just around the corner. While it doesn’t officially start until September 21st, here in Ontario Canada, the signs of it are all around. Cottage nights mean firing up the wood stove and adding on lots of layers. My kids go back to school on Tuesday and I’m trying to cram in as much summer-time, family-time fun as possible this weekend. We have s’mores and campfires, swimming and cliff-jumping, kayaking and star-gazing, board games and cousins, all on the agenda. I’m so grateful to have these special moments together and I’m very much mourning the end of summer.
That being said, once I get over the initial sentimentality of the final days of summer, I embrace Fall with both hands. It’s a stunning season and in my mind, the only thing wrong with it is that it proceeds winter! I’m getting into the Fall mood with this blessings card that I’ve created for Day 3 of the MFT Stamps Countdown.
Once again I’m bringing in the lovely Fuse Green Card Stock and Fuse Green Dye Ink. It’s perfect for Autumn and I’ve tried really hard to get the color in the images right but I’m not sure that I’ve quite captured it’s beauty. You’re going to have to trust me on it! This time I’ve paired it up with Cotton Candy, Cement Gray, Persimmon, an Factory Green Dye Inks. It’s a very unique and fresh color combo and I’m loving it paired up a brand new stamp set, the Modern Trees Stamp Set. These trees are stunning and I wanted to show them all off by stamping the entire background of this card front layer.
The new A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 and A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 once again make their appearance and you can see how beautiful they can matt each layer. Use one set for 1/8″ mats around each layer or use both sets together to get the ultra fine 1/16″ mats around each edge like I’ve done here.
Quick Tip: Don’t have the correct color card stock? Just ink up some white card stock with the ink color and you have some instant matching paper. I’ve used this trick for the blessings die-cut sentiment. Couldn’t find my Persimmon Card Stock so this quick fix made everything match quickly and without fuss.
Also used on this card, the new Blessed & Blessings Die-namics set. This duo is perfect for Thanksgiving and also for counting your blessings each and every day of the year! It’s a big and bold way to get the message across. I’ve paired it up with the Kind Thanks stamp & die set which is an amazing set for saying thank you a myriad of different ways. The sentiment is stamped onto Fuse Card Stock die-cut with the Sentiment Label Strip Die-namics.
To finish things off and tie my color combo together a small red button is adhered to a little notched piece of Cement Gray Card Stock.
