Let’s hit replay!
We’re headed back for another look at the September MFT Stamps release. After all…just a few days of countdowns is only the beginning of creating with such a stellar line up. I’m excited to put together a few of the new stamp sets and dies for this sweet (and small) little card.
It’s 4″ x 4″ in size and a great size for a quick card design. I always love creating square card designs and a 4″ square card design works out great and still fits easily into a regular card envelope! This card was inspired by one of the sentiments in the new Birdie Brown Bitty Bears stamp set. I love the “small card – big thank you” sentiment and played off it by creating a smaller than usual card and including that sweet little Bitty Bear in the center. It’s stamped in MFT Stamps Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and then colored in with Copic Markers. This is my go-to ink for pairing up with Copics!
To frame that sweet bitty bear, I die-cut the Thank You Circle Frame Die-namics from Cherry Wood Adhesive Backed Sheet which adds a very good woodgrain detail to the design. As it IS adhesive backed, it’s perfect for die-cutting layers from as you just peel off the backing and adhere to the card front. The sweet gingham print on this card is from the Tiny Check Paper Pack and I’ve sanded the edges of the layer with sandpaper for a rustic look. Finally the Smooth White Card Stock layer is die-cut from a recent release…the Mod Square STAX Die-namics.
Keep a rectangular envelope containing a square card from bending by lining it with a piece of card stock to stiffen it up!
