Now that summer is over and back to school is in full swing, I’m embracing the cooler days and nights, all the harvest goodness and the wonderful peace and quiet I have in the house for a few hours each day! There’s so many wonderful things about Autumn that I can’t begin to list them all so I’ll get right to sharing what I’ve been working on this week in those quiet moments before everyone is home again for the evening.
One of the things I’ve been enjoying creating with is the new Golden Moments Kit from Maya Road. This is a sneak peek post as this kit doesn’t go live until Friday night but I shared these sweet designs on the Maya Road blog yesterday and wanted to share them here as well.
Golden Moments is a stunning Autumn themed kit with lots of gorgeous gold accents, sweet flair and lovely unique goodies! It even has an exclusive stamp set that I’ve used to create the following card design.
I love the tiny grateful sentiment that is perfect for harvest, Thanksgiving and just about any time you want to say thank you. I’ve pulled out some lovely warm inks from my stash to stamp this design. It’s all about 2 step stamping with this exclusive Golden Moments stamp set and I’ve layered the stamped panel over a piece of ledger paper from the kit. You’ll also find card bases, pearl pins and gold bulldog clips in Golden Moments. Maya Road has some wonderful attention to detail and you’ll find the entire kit works together beautifully!
My second card using this kit focuses more on the patterned paper and embellishments found in this kit. Each kit comes with a pack of printed die cuts that match the 6×6 paper pad. I’ve stuffed this sweet little dotted envelope full of just a few of the embellishments included.
Quick Tip: Adding a touch of gold really glams up a design. It doesn’t take much! Here some tiny gold printed text and a 1/2″ strip of gold paper really brings this design to life.
I’ll be back with more on this fun fall kit at release time but in the meantime, you can find past Maya Road kits on their site here.
What are you creating right now? Do you have those Autumn vibes going too?
