One of the best things to know in any given situation is that you are not alone. Some times in life you just don’t know what to say and sometimes there are just no words. I love this You’re Not Along sentiment for these times. You can get through almost anything with the right person by your side. Today I’m creating for the MFT Stamps weekly sketch challenge and this sentiment comes from the Essential Sentiments stamp set which you’ve seen time and time again in my designs. I love this stamp set and am slowly working my way through it’s amazing sentiments. There are just SO many awesome words for just about any occasion!
If you love to create from sketches, be sure to check out this week’s MFT Stamps sketch, #MFTWSC350. Today’s sketch is pretty awesome and I can’t wait to see what everyone does with it.I’ve kept it fairly close to the original as for the most part, I tend to take sketches quite literally. That doesn’t have to be the case though and feel free to turn or flip or alter this sketch to make it work for you. I hope you’ll join in the challenge for some creative time! You can find all the details here on the MFT Challenge Blog. If you’ve never played along, it’s super fun and easy. Consider this your invitation to join us!
I love combining patterned paper packs together and this design pairs up a lovely green dot from the Party Patterns Paper Pack with the gorgeous Gray & White Paper Pack. I love mixing and matching prints and I find mixing up patterns from various packs gives me more of the look that I love to design with. For the circular elements on this design, I though it would be fun to create some closure tab circles. I have NO idea what these are called but sometimes you find them on larger kraft envelopes and I’ve recreated the look with brads, kraft card stock and the Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.
I always associate butterflies with hop and I’ve pulled out the Flutter of Butterflies Lace Die-namics and die-cut them in white. Finally, to finish off the design with a splash of color, I added pink Peerless watercolor paint to my brush and flicked it across the card front. I love how the papers and prints picked up the color and added a “splash of joy” to the design.
I hope you find some time to get sketchy! There’s always a chance to win something fab!
Until next time…
