Love. This. Die-namics. Set.
I don’t usually like to play favorites, especially to this extent but… the new Cross-Stitch Tag Die-namics is SO seriously awesome!!! I just couldn’t wait to create with this and let me tell you, it’s just as fab as I imagined. If you’re read my blog for any length of time you’ll know that I love stitching and sewing and all that stuff and I had been sewing up a storm for years before I started paper crafting. So when you put stitching + paper, I am totally on board!
I’m loving this tag with the cross stitch and decided to make it the main focal point of a card design. It’s a great size for that as well as using on its own. I’ve stitched it up in sweet little cross stitches with one of the designs MFT Stamps provided to go with this tag. They have a lot of fab designs and you can even create your own if you are so inclined!
Quick Tip: If you’re new to cross stitch, all you do is make little x’s. Start at the bottom left corner of the square and stitch to the upper right. Then stitch up through the bottom right and down through the upper left. Always keep the stitches with the same diagonal on top for a consistent look!
Once my tag was stitched, I adhered a big beautiful sentiment using the new Joy Die-namics. So pretty! You’ll notice that I added a second sentiment on a little tag from Blueprints 13 Die-namics. It says Holiday Blessings and is from the new Snow Globe Sentiments stamp set.
I pulled out Blueprints 27 Die-namics to die-cut the biggest scalloped layer from Red Hot Card Stock. I’ve also used A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics to die-cut the stamped vellum layer. It was first stamped in white pigment ink with the greenery from the Dashing Deer stamp set and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
And finally, two more dies finish it all off. The Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips make their appearance once again as I can’t seem to put them away. A sweet white snowflake makes a delicate embellishment at the top of the tag using Let it Snowflake Too Die-namics.
Card Stock Colors Used: Red Hot, Pink Lemonade, Sno Cone, Smooth White, Gumdrop Green, Vellum
