Sometimes we just need someone to love us. Isn’t that the truth?! Those of us who have pets almost always enjoy that kind of love from them
A few months ago Ellen Hutson LLC started partnering with some amazing companies to bring you exclusive stamp and die sets! This venture is called United We Flourish and is a fabulous collaboration of some wonderful ideas. For this latest release I’m so excited to see Ellen pair up with MFT Stamps which you know is a huge fave of mine!
I’m so excited with the super sweet stamp set that Ellen and MFT Stamps have come up with! As I mentioned above it’s exclusively sold at Ellen Hutson LL and this new (and utterly adorable) set is called Good Friends. I love my fur baby and in fact, we have a new one in the house right now. She’s a Doberdor called Ella and while I am very very busy training her and trying to keep her out of trouble. As my life is certainly centered around her right now, this darling cats and dogs set has my heart.
Ella (well, her paw) makes an appearance in this image. One of my sons had the creative genius to help me include her paw in the photo for a little dose of cuteness.
Here’s the entire set here. I’ve stacked my pets as that design just popped into my head and wouldn’t seem to leave it so I went with the flow. Most of the images are simply stamped but the top cat image has been masked behind that darling spotted puppy.
Each of the animals have been colored in with Prismacolor pencils. I’m always a fan of colored pencils on kraft card stock and I wanted to make this design non-gender specific as most of my creations are really quite feminine. I’m glad to have this card on hand that will work for anyone!
To balance the left side of the design I adhered a little strip of the new Ellen Hutson patterned paper by Julie Ebersole. I’m loving all her black and white prints as they are soooo super flexible! The thinner black striped strip is actually washi tape that I’ve included in the supply list below.
To highlight each of the images, I’ve added in some white gel pen details to make them pop and added in some movement markings. Instead of coloring in the hearts, I’ve filled the stamped hearts with Glossy Accents.
Quick Tip: Highlight wet puppy noses with Glossy Accents to make them stand out and look extra cute.
All supplies used are listed below for your convenience! Enjoy the rest of the inspiration…you can find all the links listed here in the CLASSroom!
