Hello! I’m going to just jump right into today’s post and introduce you to a fab new stamp set from Ellen Hutson LLC! It’s blog hop day and this is one set I am so super excited to share as it’s absolutely beautiful and unique. Meet the new Abstract Paint Strokes Stamp Set by Julie Ebersole from Ellen Hutson! It’s bold and fun and PERFECT for making unique and stunning backgrounds. The paint stroke look is so on trend but in an interesting way, it really never goes out of style as well. Not sure how that works but you can ponder that if you like! Being able to ink up some paint strokes on a stamp is so great because you don’t need to mess around with paint and wait for it to dry.
If you’re just joining this blog hop, welcome! Just follow along and you’ll be treated to lots of inspiration. If you’ve already been hopping, you have reached me via the lovely and talented Heather Campbell!
Even better is the fact you can make and awesome multicolored background in a paint strokes design without having to wash your brush out that many times! Because, yah..let’s be honest, that’s something I’m just not going to do.
I’ve stamped one of the paint strokes stamps repeatedly to form this background in various Altenew inks. I’m totally crushing on these ink pads lately and LOVE the range of colors and how well the ink formulation stamps. Stunning. By starting with the darker pigments at the top and working my way down I’ve created a loose ombre look that I’m really loving.
At the bottom of the design I’ve pulled out another of the new sets, Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole. It’s full of awesome sentiments but I’m loving this You are Loved! one and I’m sending out this card to my sweet mother-in-law. She’s recently made a move to a new home which is challenging for her. She’s on my mind constantly and I’m hoping this will brighten her day.
The gorgeous florals are from a recent Ellen Hutson release and are called the Rustic Botanicals Stamp Set and I love how they look paired up with the paint strokes. If you missed this set in the past, it’s linked at the end of this post as are all the other supplies used to create this card.
Finally, to add a few embellishments to this design, I’ve stitched a little line across of the bottom of the card just to add in a little subtle texture. The Nuvo Crystal Drops and Glitter Drops have been awesome little bottles of goodness to have on hand and they may great dots to emphasize flower centers and stamens.
As always…the entire release is absolutely gorgeous! This time around Ellen has put together a few extra special sets as well. If you’ve been crushing on those Leading Ladies but haven’t invested in any yet, this is the time! You can purchase them in a combo at a discount!
Be sure to hop along for more creative inspiration. Next up is Kay Miller whose work I absolutely adore and I know you will too!
Thanks so much for joining me today! Enjoy each step of the way on the blog hop!
