Hello! I’m back creating again and I’m excited to be gearing up for lots of creative time again after almost three months of very little creating. After ten years of blogging consistently I think I was due a bit of a break and to be honest, I just needed a little time for myself and my family. It’s OK to take a break if you need one!
One issue I’ve been dealing with is creative burnout and for me that’s been caused by no creative free time for me. I love working in the paper craft industry but sometimes you need to put those assignments aside and do something just for fun. One of the things I’m doing for myself in 2018 is making absolutely sure that I take that time to make things in my favorite way which is just to mix and match things together and see where the journey takes me.
Part of this journey is going to be with a fun new challenge in blog-land called the Inspired by Challenge hosted by the fabulous Laurel Seabrook. I couldn’t have been more thrilled when Laurel invited me to join this team of creatives and I hope you’ll find some time to join us. See where the journey takes you as well!
The Inspired By challenge will take place every Thursday and you can find the weekly challenges here. You’ll also be able to find links to each challenge here on my blog as I hope to participate in as many as I can. What I’m loving about this challenge is that you can be inspired by absolutely any. thing. at. all.
Quick Tip: Always be yourself.
I was inspired by a few things this week in case it’s not very apparent. First of all I pulled the cream and pink color combo from the inspiration image. You’ll also find stitching details in both my design and the inspiration piece, as well as a few striped details. Apart from that, I just had a lot of fun putting things together in my layered, mix and match style!
I hope you’ll find some time to join us this week for a fab challenge and come say hello to the rest of the design team! You can find all the fun and inspiration here!
